Meet Our Team

Emily Morley, Esq.

Warm, inviting, kind, and humble while still boasting a vast knowledge of the law and legal practice, Emily Morley seeks to do legal practice differently.  After a brief stint in legal practice*, Emily began to wonder if there was a way to close the easily perceived gap between the lawyer and the client.  “You can’t help but notice how nervous people get when they come to speak to an attorney,” she remarked.  “They come in seeking counsel for what is often one of the most difficult experiences of their life.  The last thing a client needs to be is intimidated or uncomfortable.”

Emily endeavors to give her clients peace of mind while working diligently to provide every avenue for legal remedy.  Her primary practice areas include Family Law, Wills & Estate Planning, Criminal Defense, General Civil Litigation, and Appeals.

Dawn Yates | Paralegal

I fell in love with the law in my 20’s.  I dipped my toe in the waters of working in a law firm first as a receptionist.  Years later, I found myself unemployed. My desire at that point in my life was to engage in a career where I could fulfill a long-held desire to re-enter the legal profession.  At the age of 50, I returned to college and graduated with an Associate in Applied Science Paralegal degree from Illinois Central College, an ABA approved program. The attorneys I supported at Costigan and Wollrab, P.C. in Bloomington, Illinois concentrated in Estate Planning, Probate, and Criminal Defense Law.  During this period of time, I had the privilege of working with David C. Wochner, one of the pre-eminent Estate Planning attorneys in downstate Illinois. Ten years later I joined with Mary Faupel, a solo practitioner in Eureka, Illinois who also concentrated her practice in Estate Planning, Probate, Real Estate and Family Law. Upon the sale of her practice, I continued in those same areas of law under the direction of Christopher A. Nichols, who is also a solo practitioner.

In 2021, my husband, a former over the road truck driver, retired. We relocated to Rogersville after visiting various places in Tennessee. We fell in love with the physical beauty of this area, but more so with the people we have come to know and love. Dewey and I are members of Hope Community Church and are committed to several mission endeavors there.

My desire is to help make your visit to our firm as anxiety free as possible, while providing you with the professional knowledge and experience that I have acquired over the last 17 years.
